1. What does the “Attack” points on my HUD mean?

Your “Attack” points are a relative measure of how much damage can you deal on your enemy in one shot. The higher your “Attack” points, the better chances of your beating your opponent!

2. What does the “Defense” points on my HUD mean?

Your “Defense” points determine how much of the attacker’s damage can you defend against. If your defense is better than the attacker’s “Attack” points, you’ll greatly minimise the damage dealt to you.

3. What does the “HP” on my HUD mean?

Your “HP” refers to your “Hit Points”. This is a measure of your overall strength, and how much damage can you withstand before you lose a battle. So, with each blow you face from the enemy, your “HP” goes down a bit, until you’re left with no HP and lose the battle.

4. So, how does the “Attack”, “Defense” and “HP” work during my battles?
Well, it’s pretty simple. The side that runs out of “HP” first, loses the battle! The trick is to have a respectable amount of “Attack” and “Defense” to withstand the enemy’s blows.

5. How does one go about increasing their A-D-H (“Attack”, “Defense” and “HP)?
Well, there are plenty of things you can do in the game to grow your army. Let’s look at them one by one…

a. Training Troops:-
Troops are a great way to increase all three – A-D-H. The troops in City Wars are ever dependable and don’t die in the field. Thus, meaning your A-D-H won’t reduce any time soon with these guys. However, troops do take quite some time to train.

b. Purchasing Supplies:-
Troops need to be armed well to make an impact in battle! That’s where the Supplies come in. These are the quickest and most impactful way of increasing your “Attack” and “Defense”. Mind you though, Supplies get consumed with each battle, and need to be replenished in a timely manner.

c. Buy Boosts:-
Boosts are items which increase your A-D-H by a percentage rather than a quantity. Buy a few of them and watch your vitals multiply!

d. Constructing Buildings:-
A great way to increase your “Defense” and “HP” is to construct buildings on your base! As long as these buildings stand on your base, your D-H will remain as is!

e. Hiring a Hero:-
Never under-estimate the power of an individual! Especially, the Heroes in City Wars are worth their weight in Gold, when you hire them. Each Hero has a special function, and boosts either of your A-D-H for as long as he/she is hired by you!

6. I see something called “FB Credits” on my HUD. How do I use it and how is it any different from “Bucks”?
City Wars now supports Facebook’s official currency “Facebook Credits”, or “FB Credits” in short. FB Credits give you access to the premium commodities and services in City Wars. To know more about “FB Credits” you may click on the following link…
http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=1038

While FB Credits are usually bought or earned only via Facebook, “Bucks” are earned by your actions in the game, and can be used to purchase most of the items on City Wars.

7. Great! So what all can I spend my FB Credits on?
Here’s what you get by spending premium currency in City Wars…

a. Instant Energy Refills – Play for even longer without having to wait!

b. Premium Buildings – Gives you more than usual “Defense” & “HP”, or generates a sizeable amount of tax as a Commercial building. Or they’re just great to look at on your base!

c. Premium Supplies – These premium items are not only more powerful than regular items, they even last longer!

d. Instant Training Completion – Skip over the boring part of waiting for trainings to get over. Spend a few Credits and watch your army swell in numbers!

e. Expand your Base – Real Estate is a precious commodity, especially when you have that dream base of yours in mind! With FB Credits you can expand your boundaries!

f. Hire Heroes – Heroes don’t come cheap! But with the kind of weight they bring to your Army, you can be assured of bang for your buck!!

g. Get “Bucks” – If you’re running low on “Bucks”, you could always purchase special Bucks packs with your FB Credits.

8. How are the “Boosts” any different from the normal “Supplies”?
Boosts are a range of premium items, which act as multipliers to your A-D-H. So for instance, if you have a “Nano Jacket” in your Units, then your Defense will get a boost of 40% flat! Buy even more Boosts and watch your army multiply several times over with each additional boost!

9. Now that I know how to fight in City Wars, tell me about World Domination and how to go about it?
The World is in turmoil! From across the globe, thousands of players of City Wars have taken over your world, and it’s up to you to claim it back, one city at a time!

Clicking on the mini-World Map on your bottom panel, will pull out a full version of the World Map. Your objective is to travel to the main cities of the World and conquer all their cells one by one. Once you travel to a city, you’ll be presented with a city view, with the city divided into several hexagon cells. Each cell has an occupant who needs to be defeated, before you can plant your flag on that land.

However, be aware of certain “Special Enemies”! They are stronger than normal opponents! In time you should be able to grow your army large enough to beat them. Till then, you’d best not cross their paths!

You begin your conquest with “London” and then unlock more cities as you make progress. In order to unlock the next city, you need to defeat all the “Special Enemies” as well as occupy a significant number of cells in the current city. That’s when you’ve earned the title of having “conquered” a city!

Mind you, conquering a city will reward you with a special “Statue” structure that you can place on your base. This structure will even generate taxes for you!

From time to time, the City Wars team will be releasing more new cities for you to conquer! If you’ve run out of cities to conquer, please be patient, and rest assured that the next city is soon on its way! Till then you can continue your dominance on the Fight Club!

10. What’s this Fight Club about? How do I join the club?
The “Fight Club” is an almost arcade-style of fighting your opponents. There’s no land or World Domination to fight over, but the fights are just as intense! You don’t need to join this club, as you’re already a member! Real-world players are pitted against each other, based on their vital stats. Defeat your opponents and boast about it to your friends on Facebook!

And moreover, the “Hit List” is a great way to see all the players who were brazen enough to defeat you in battle! Well, you know what they say about REVENGE… its best served cold!

11. Sounds Fun! I have a lot of FB friends. Can they be of any help to me in this game?
Absolutely Yes. You can add your FB Friends as your “Allies” in City Wars. Each new “Ally” you add in the game, will give you a greater advantage over the game. Here’s how…

a. In World Domination, every ally of yours automatically occupies at least one cell in every city you unlock. This way, if you have a lot of allies, you can reach your goal of conquering a city much earlier than others!

b. You can visit your Allies and do “Repairs” on any buildings that are in disorder. With every Repair you do, you’ll be rewarded with Bucks and XP, and sometimes even some Energy!

c. After repairing all the buildings on an ally’s base, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic “Attack Bonus”. With every additional ally you help out, this Bonus grows even stronger and stronger. Though this Bonus lasts for a short period of time, imagine all the devastation you can created in this time!

d. Send and Receive gifts among your Allies.

12. I received a gift from a friend of mine. When I clicked on “Accept Gift” however, I didn’t get the option to “Gift Back”. Why is that?
This is probably because you had already sent a gift to your friend earlier in the day. In City Wars, you can send a gift to a friend only once in a 24-hour window. You can of course, come back the next day and send a gift to that same friend without any issues.

13. Until a few days ago, I was winning almost every battle I fought. But I’m losing a lot nowadays. What happened and what should I do??
The most common reason for this is that people around you have gotten better at the game by raising up a good A-D-H (“Attack”, “Defense” & “HP”) count. Remember, it’s not only about training a lot of troops in your army. You also need to equip them well with Supplies, and support them by constructing Buildings on base. A good mix of all these, will ensure that you’re at the top of your game!

14. I’m returning to the game after a while now. I remember I had some “Gold” in balance. I don’t see it anymore! What happened to it?
Well, “Gold” as a currency was retired from City Wars, starting on 30th June. That means, there’s no more use of Gold in the game. Instead, we’ve moved over to the more widely used form of premium payment – Facebook Credits!

In order to make this transition smoothly, we’ve converted all of your Gold balance into Bucks and added them to your account. So your Gold hasn’t gone to waste!

15. “I think I found a bug in City Wars!” OR “I have a few suggestions for you guys!”
Be kind enough to write an email to us at: support@funstarstudios.com !

We’re always on the lookout for improving our game and fixing bugs that we’ve missed. Your feedback would be most appreciated! Thank You!
